Cam fasteners are not alike! This cam lock is designed for removable wood screen/storm panels. It is engineered for easy installation. All that is required is a biscuit machine, a 1/2" forstner bit, and a 1/2" router bit. A standard screwdriver operates it. None of the hardware protrudes. The cup that holds the cap screw head has a spiral burr to insure that it will not fall out when the door is slammed. The strike plates also reinforces the wood.
